With winter knocking on the door, we thought we’d focus on a couple of features that will help get you through the coldest months of the year. One of these features is, naturally, heated seats. This is a massive feature that’s often overlooked, but when you live in an area with cold winters like us here in Manhattan, Kansas, heated seats are clutch. If you’re interested in finding used vehicles with heated seats for sale here in the area, we’ve typically got plenty for sale right here at Briggs Supercenter.
Once upon a time, heated seats were considered a premium feature that were only found in the most luxurious of vehicles. These days you can find heated seats in just about any vehicle. They consist of a heating coil hidden under the seat cover. You then have a button or switch, typically with multiple levels, that you can turn on to enable electricity from your vehicle’s battery to heat up the coils and thus warm the cushion.
As we mentioned, you can find heated seats in all kinds of vehicles these days. They’re still typically not found on base trim levels and might not be available at all in entry-level vehicles, but a vast majority of models offer them in some capacity. Some models even offer heated seats beyond just the driver and front passenger seats! Of the 372 models in our inventory at the time of this page’s creation, 87 models offer heated seats.
Just a recommendation, if you’re considering purchasing a vehicle with heated seats to help keep you warm through the winter months, a newer feature being found more often is a heated steering wheel. It works exactly the same as heated seats except the coil is found inside the steering wheel and it warms it up to keep your hands from freezing while you drive. You can sort our inventory for this feature as well!
