There are all different kinds of vehicles out there on the market, in all sorts of shapes and sizes. While crossovers are currently dominant, vans make a good alternative for passenger and cargo movers. A little bulkier than crossovers, minivans offer a different aesthetic to the crossover, while passenger vans offer a greater number of seats. Cargo vans, on the other hand, are completely designed with just that in mind. They’re more like an alternative to pickup trucks, giving you a large, enclosed space to fill with whatever gear or other cargo you need. We typically have a nice selection of used vans for sale right here at Briggs Supercenter in Manhattan, Kansas.
Before the advent of crossover utility vehicles, minivans were the go-to choice for carting around a family or other group of passengers larger than a car could accommodate. While there aren’t nearly as many minivans on the market today as there once were, you can still find models such as the Chrysler Pacifica, Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna, Dodge Grand Caravan, Kia Sedona and others pass through our inventory.
Unlike most minivans, passenger vans are built on a truck chassis as a base. Instead of the typical seven or eight people, passenger vans are designed to carry between 9-15 individuals. Examples of popular passenger vans that you might see pass through our inventory include the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or Metris, Ford Transit Connect, Chevy Express, RAM ProMaster City, Nissan NV and GMC Savana.
Cargo vans are almost identical to passenger vans, at least from the outside. In fact, most of the passenger vans we just listed are also available as cargo vans. Instead of offering a plethora of seats, those seats are replaced either by a wide open space or some configuration of amenities that you can typically pick, such as shelving, drawers, hooks and similar things. They’re sometimes called work vans.
If you think you might be interested in a used van of your own, be sure to check out what we have available in our used vehicle inventory today. We don’t have as many vans as other types of vehicles, but we usually have a nice selection of them from which to choose. Feel free to give us a call if you’re looking for something in particular and we’ll see if we can find it for you.
