In the late 1980s, many Japanese automakers decided to create their own premium brands to work around certain export drawbacks. While Toyota built Lexus and Honda built Acura, Nissan joined the party by introducing Infiniti in 1989. Since then, the brand has carved out its own niche in the luxury marketplace, building quite a reputation for itself and the vehicles it produces. While it’s not one of the more common brands you’ll find here at Briggs Supercenter, we do occasionally have used Infiniti vehicles for sale right here in Manhattan, Kansas.
That brings us, finally, to the QX80. There aren’t a ton of traditional SUVs still in production on the automotive market, especially here in North America, but in the luxury world full-size sport utility vehicles are still quite popular. The QX56 joined the lineup in 2004 and has been an integral part of the lineup ever since, though it changed its name to QX80 back in 2013.
When it comes to crossover utility vehicles, the automaker currently produces three different models in the form of the QX50, QX55 and QX60. The QX50 is a compact luxury crossover, while the QX55 is a coupe-style version of the former. The QX60 is a bit bigger, sliding into the midsize luxury crossover segment. Recent models also include the QX30 and QX70.
Currently, the Infiniti brand has just two cars in production. The Q50, pictured here, is a compact luxury sedan that’s been around since 2014, while the Q60 is a compact luxury coupe. Although they’re no longer in production, other models from the brands recent history include the Q40 and Q70, a compact and a midsize luxury sedan respectively, discontinued in 2015 and 2019.
As we mentioned, the Infiniti brand is one of the much rarer brands to pass through our inventory. Feel free to check out what’s available online, and if you’re interested make sure you follow through as Infiniti models aren’t likely to stick around long. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to give us a shout right here at the sales desk.
