Hatchback

The big advantage of hatchback sedans over their traditional sedan counterparts is its namesake, the hatchback cargo area that increases the amount of space the small car has to offer for luggage or groceries or what have you. Instead of a cramped trunk and lid, you’ll have a full hatchback tailgate to swing open and much more space to fill with your stuff. They’re also known for their impressive performance and unique style.

Coupe

Speaking of impressive performance, there aren’t nearly as many coupe models these days as there used to be, but those that remain are almost exclusively high-performance models like the iconic Dodge Challenger or Chevy Camaro. A coupe is a vehicle that has just two doors – or three in the event that it’s a hatchback coupe, combining the best of both these worlds. Coupes aren’t nearly as prevalent as hatchback sedans, but both have their place.

Just like every other body style on the market, the hatchback sedan class of vehicle has also begun pumping out hybrid electric vehicle options. This is nothing new, either. In fact, one of the most populous hatchback models on our lot is the Ford C-Max Hybrid, an electrified hatchback sedan that was actually discontinued in 2018. It remains popular among used buyers through today, so if you’re looking for a hybrid hatchback be sure to take it into consideration.
